I literally sat in my car for over 2hrs to watch the last 2 episodes.
My poor Marg, she's my 3rd fav to be killed off (behind Robb and Renly) which isnt so bad given the death toll over the past 6 seasons. I loved how she exhibited her smarts till the very end. That dumb bottom sparrow is more responsible for her demise than Cersei is.
I should hate Cersei but I dont.
The North plot seems resolved (excl the WW of course) i hope they dont plan on pitting Jon against Sansa next season
What she did to Tyrells was beyond recklessness and just plain stupid. I mean I know she hates them but we all know without Tyrell support the King's Landing would just collapse, so it will since she is basically left with noone. A person who actually understands politics would suck it up and wait for a better moment if she wanted to kill them that badly.
Freys are now left without a king so they'll probably be busy with themselves, she refused to marry Loras because she was so in love with Jamie so she won't get married with Euron either. There is only so much wildfire, so what will she do when all of it is used?
1) she's desperate ,not stupid, there's a difference. and she DID try to work with the Tyrells, they didn't want to work with her because her walk of atonement was the perfect reason for them (Olenna specifically) to cut ties with her. Cersei comes to Olenna and says 'we have to work together' right before Olenna leaves and Olenna shut her down once in for all .... she was backed into a corner and betrayed by her own son when it came to the trial by combat thing.. the wildfire was extreme, but likely her only method of survival and how she would be able to thrive (I mean, she is queen now) plus, it moved the plot of the show forward immensely
2) idk if Euron and Cersei will marry each other (doubt it tbh she'll prob just be single and ****ing Jamie on the side, if he still wants to, that is) but Euron will def be on their side because I think his introduction this season was essentially to establish him as Dany's roadblock to get to Cersei .. idk how, but Euron will likely pose a threat to Dany next season and it will likely have to do with him linking up with the Lannisters
3) idk who said it but someone was like Cersei won't be the main villain next season ?? and idk how you could think otherwise. she literally just destroyed 1/4th of King's Landing to avoid confronting her own sins, she's a direct parallel to the Mad King and the wildfire wasn't just under the sept, it's under the rest of the city too including the Red Keep. Cersei will be the main villain of season 7 and likely die in episode 9 or something, then the conflict with the white walkers will come to an end in the final season as they are technically the top tier villains of the GOT universe

They did with The Sopranos. Bowed out gracefully instead of milking it for all it's worth.
Has HBO ever been greedy enough to make a spinoff of anything?
I know they've had a few comedy sequel films, but 4 years after the shows ended.
But uhhh, the Sopranos is not the GOT. GOT is bigger and has way more stories to tell. I'm just saying, they can easily do a spin off, a miniseries or something.
People usually don’t leave the Iron Throne alive, though. Does that have you concerned?
No. I’ve always said that when it happens, as long as it’s kinda glorious and gory and it’s by the right person…
And who is the right person?
I think it has to be Arya or Tyrion.
Yes, Tyrion would be interesting…
No one would relish her death as much as he would.
Plus you’d love to do that scene with Peter.
Love. Maybe we could have a dying kiss or something.

Even if she plays the game PERFECTLY from here on out, it will never erase the utter stupidity of involving the faith militant in the first place, probably the single dumbest thing anyone on this show has done or at least second to Ned's blunders... like, knowing all the crimes she's committed, and knowing that people know of her children born of incest and infidelity she's not a moron, but she's arrogant, and when faced with a head vs heart scenario, she goes with her heart, which is hateful and brutish. If she were smart, her son would still be alive as king, she'd have greater influence over him, and the Lannisters would be short of house Tyrell, and she'd get to grow old like mother Olenna. And that's just focusing on season 5, to spare all the things she could have done better with Joffrey.
King Jon "Starkaryen" Snow
Allies: House Stark, House Glover, House Cerwyn, House Manderly, House Mormont, House Reed, House Arryn, The Knights of the Vale, The Free Folk/Wildlings

The reason the show is as great as it is is due to the incredible, but mostly perfectly logical character development. Cersei is by no means someone who's perfect at strategies, but she's a bad bitch. She has always been one, but now she has lost all she ever loved (Remember, she told Sansa to only love her children and nobody else, because love makes you act a fool), she's emotionally empty. Being a Queen is not her goal anymore (it is more of a tool). Her goal is vengeance. She's aware she's going to die soon anyways (thanks to the prophecy), so she's pretty much in the same position as Olenna: Why not end everything with a loud and noisy BANG.
I never realized all the seeds they planted, I know there were talks here and there of the tragic love square: "Rhaegar Targaryen/Elia Martell/Lyanna Stark/Robert Baratheon".
