Honestly, not entirely. They just use it as an excuse/scapegoat. Straight guys often are just automatically turned off by homosexuality. Not trying to generalize, but males are often more sexual so they are more into women if that makes sense. Especially if they live in an enviroment where masculinity is the norm, homosexuality is looked down upon.
I just feel like they use their religion as an excuse to hate because of their own opinion, something they already oppose themselves.
