For Madonna, it's more to do with the way she carries herself. We can say she has the right to act however she wants at whatever age but that's not how people irl are going to see it. If she didn't act like the spry 25 year old she used to be, her legacy would be untouched. But she does, so it is being tarnished

When it comes to "tarnishing your legacy" and start comparing Madonna and MJ... It's true that if MJ's history of scandals (paedophilia accusations, vitiligo, blanket etc) were practically erased after his death then Madonna's legacy will be just fine once she passes. A few bad albums and acting like a *+* cool hip mom *+* doesn't "tarnish your legacy" in such a degree that some of you guys are trying to say.
