“It’s my belief that the High Sparrow told Tommen about the Tyrells’ involvement in Joffrey’s murder,” the Redditor writes. “Judging by the tears in his eyes when he’s about to tell Cersei, it seemed to be the worst possible news. I believe it’s Ser Loras who revealed this information as he seemed absolutely broken by his solitary confinement. Immediately after Tommen tells her the news, Cersei and Jaime show up to the small council with a plan to invite the Tyrell army into King’s Landing to deal with the Seven and protect Margaery from a [walk] of atonement. I believe this is a ruse by Cersei to draw the Tyrells into her scheme. The Tyrells picking a fight with the Seven will create unrest among its followers/citizens of King’s Landing. They will turn on and blame the Tyrells with the Lannisters ‘standing down.’ This creates a war between two of Cersei’s least favorite factions: the citizens of King’s Landing who treated her like garbage during her walk of atonement, and the family responsible for her son’s murder. Every dead body is a win.”

WriteOnSC then goes on to explain several details that may support the claim, including the fact that when Cersei asks Tommen to confide in her, she puts her hand over his heart, placing a ring that belonged to Joffrey in clear view and that during the Small Council scene, the Lannisters’ infamous kill song, “The Rains of Castamere,” is playing in the background.

Cersei's been awful using the power she's had.
And she clearly cares a lot more about her kids than Jaime does anyway.

Tho some have speculated she'll go crazy when she's lost it all, so she'll help usher in the destruction of King's Landing and die amidst the chaos.

Cersei is not that smart and Loras wouldn't know about it, Olenna barely hinted at it to Margeary.

Clearly the Sparrow told Tommen about his mom's trial and Margeary's walk with Cersei revealing it right after to Olenna and Kevan, why bother repeating it twice on the show? Just show the outcome. Same with Sansa and Jon's talk, why bother repeating what happened to them and play catch up, we know, assume they talked about it, just move forward....

There are waaay too many theories going on around that always end up falling flat, specially on the show. They are trimming the fat and getting straight to the point. People speculate that the Pink Letter was not written by Ramsay, that the Three Eyed Raven drove the mad king mad, what the Sparrow told Tommen... it doesn't need to be too complicated... why bother with it?

Loras might not but I think Margaery will... she seems to be playing along with the sparrow and acting like the devout innocent maiden to show her "remorse".

I do think the High Sparrow theory holds some weight though. Cersei has been on a downwards spiral ever since the Purple Wedding, and since Myrcella's death/her walk of atonement, she's basically a shell of what she was. IIRC, before the season aired, the writers/cast were talking about how Cersei has 'nothing left to lose' and could get even more vicious as a result of her humiliation. She hates the Tyrells, and this could be the perfect way to reintroduce her wicked scheming. Plus TROC playing just makes me super on edge

I didn't say that she would be successful

- the novels heavily hint that she will die a tragic death while unsuccessfully trying to save Tommen, probably involving Jaime

Has anybody thought about the fact that Tommen doesn't have an heir right now? Myrcella is dead, and both of his "uncles" Stannis and Renly are dead, too. I guess Westeros would just become a free-for-all if he were to die soon
