She was the most annoying thing pre-shippuden because she had no power that made her stand apart when compared to her peers. She was useless. Had she actually jumped in more of the fights and had more character development she's be one of the best on the show.
But let's not pretend Her & Chiyo vs Sasori isn't one of the best fights throughout the series.

It's actually my favorite fight. But I give that credit to Sasori.

The show tanked (for me) when all that mangekyo sharingan/rinnegan mess happened. All those different eyes for what? I was beyond confused from there on out.
imo the show only tanked when Konan died. That fight was nothing special but I still love it
It was one of my favorite fights as well. Finally a woman was given a big role since Temari (as kids). Konan's plan was interesting, and the fact that she could have beaten Tobi had it not been for Izanagi is amazing.
I loved it when the anime was actually good. I already finished the manga and Kishi kinda ruined it tbh. I know he wants coins and all but there's just TOO much filler in the anime. I'll be sure to pop into the anime when the fights get real.

Shikamaru and Temari are my favorite characters. I stopped watching the anime in middle school though and continued with the superior manga until the last war arc. That dragged on for too long with dumb ass-pulls. I bought the last tankoubon to see the lackluster conclusion. Should've ended with the Pain arc.
I never finished it 'cause it's way too damn long. I stopped watching around when Zetsu interrupted the Five Kages meeting. My main fav characters are Shikamaru and Tayuya. Others include Naruto, Ino, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Pain, Konan, Sai, and Kushina. I absolutely despise Sasuke and Kabuto. There's so much iconic moments from it. The chunin exams, when Orochimaru invaded Konoha, finding Tsunade, Sasuke leaving the village, Asuma & Jiraiya died. It started off really good, but took too long to finish. The ending kind of sucks too. But overall, it's arguably the most iconic anime of modern history. No other anime has made this huge of an impact imo.
