Literally the only ones who make headlines and make people go wild whenever they announce tours are Beyoncé and Madonna and acts like U2, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay... all the others go unnoticed to people who are not interested in the artist

Before the Femme Fatale Tour went on the road, she had taken a two year break from touring, yet that one couldn't even cross the $70 million mark with 79 shows (for comparison's sake: the artRAVE, which everyone here deems a flop, came after five years of intensive touring [N.B. the blockbuster Born This Way Ball ended that same year] and it did over $80 million with as many dates).

Now she plays to casinos in Vegas.

ATRL paints her as this huge global phenomenon but she doesn't have a single tour that's exceeded $150 million in gross.

Maybe Ellie Goulding? I feel like people end up thinking "meh" after going to one of her shows, from people I know who have seen her. She has pretty decent sized venues though so maybe not.

I agree. Beyonce Experience was great though, but I thought every tour after that one has been quite disappointing and uninspired as a whole. Especially the Mrs. Carter Tour. Such a shame since she obviously has the talent to pull off a great show, but I think she deserves better productions.
