But it's not like superdelegates are just a bunch of randos picked by a random lottery. They were also elected by the people. They are representatives of their congressional districts and of their states. At the end of the day, this is about selecting the representative of the Democratic
Party. It's not the end of the world if the people who have dedicated their careers and lives to the party get to have a say. I know you don't like the
party system in general, but the rationale for superdelegates in the
party is pretty strong.
