It's not about a label of sexism. One does not have to be consciously sexist to be subconsciously patriarchal. There are people on my Facebook who actually post bible verses about how women can never be president because that's not a woman's place.

On some level, I have to think there are some people who cannot bring themselves to ever vote for Hillary Clinton because of her gender. Marvin may be one of these people, but strictly on a subconscious level. He doesn't realize it, I think.
But we can combat this! We have an amazing, qualified female candidate who is likely to be the Democratic nominee. It's amazing that she could be voted as president despite our patriarchal society.
