It's a better game than VII and maybe the best in the series but unfortunately gets over looked because it came out on SNES.

VIII's story is all over the place. However the Rinoa is Ultimecia theory is what has makes me so intrigued by that game.

XIII gets too much hate. It's cast is way better than VII (doesn't come close to X, IX, or VIII though)

plus the music is some of the best in the series

Szazh, Fang and Vanille were the only good characters in XIII.

1. Hope was terrible and stupid who wrongly blamed Snow for his mothers death.

2. Snow was always going around saying he was a hero but didn't do a good job at it.

3. Lighting was as stale as cardboard but she had potential.

4. Script issues like the backstory of Lighting being a student at the academy but the encounter with Yaag Rosch her former instructor there was zero dialog between them.

5. Hyping up Jihl in trailers and giving her a false sense of importance in the game but died off quickly.


The game isn't terrible by any means but it's not the best either. Toriyama has proven he does not need to direct a FF game.

!!! I don't understand how she was designed with Cloud in mind when Cloud FF& was lively and fun.

Some FFs would be a lot higher on my list of fave games if not for lackluster main characters. Terra was frustrating, Squall and Lightning were crazy boring and I hated Tidus sfm. Luckily FFXII focused on Ashe so Vaan didn't bother me as much as he did other players.
