It's easy to say "stop shooting us" and drag the bad cops to get some quick applause, but not so easy to come up with solutions for the problem. Why aren't these cops going to jail yet? What's keeping the racist and corrupt system from changing? How do you change it? Is it even possible? That's where the conversation needs to go. Instead her contribution is once again incredibly superficial and self-serving.

Because she's a musician. Speaking through her art. The fact that clubs/radio will be playing a song exclaiming "I like my negro nose with Jackson 5 nostrils" is a way to keep awareness from dying.
She's fulfilling her public role pretty damn well.
I don't think you can speak for what she's doing behind the scenes tho. Bailing out BLM protestors in secret, spending millions on housing projects in secret, and Jay-Z going to talk with New York governors about racial profiling policies mostly in secret, etc.
To be fair, anything they do, by virtue of their celebrity, will appear to be self-serving. So judging intent takes us nowhere. The only fair way to assess is by looking at only their actions.
