To me it always made more sense to call soccer football. More to do with a foot touching the ball than the rugby one.

They're kind of similar apparently but Football has a lot more like rules and regulations and they wear equipment and have way different positions and stuff.

It does make more sense for soccer to be called football technically but they DO kick the ball in football sometimes.

Doesn't the average NFL game average about 16-18m viewers, tho? The Super Bowl is like 6x that.

I'd think so aside from actual football fans and bandwagoners.

That is a lot. All championships average more viewers because fans of EVERY team and people who aren't even fans are watching to see who wins. As opposed to during the regular season where hardcore fans only really watch/follow when their team is playing.

Like I said, everyone watches the Superbowl. The Superbowl is more of an EVENT than just a game. People have Superbowl parties, etc etc.

That's because the SB is the biggest event of the season...it's a huge social event
