Bernie is still pretty weak on foreign policy and terrorism answers.
Yeah, its not his wheelhouse, especially in Town Hall formats where he needs to show his strengths rather than on a debate stage where he can more directly exploit Hillary's weaknesses.
This started because Trump started a national media feud with her when she asked him about his past comments on women, a completely justified question. She asked how he would address concerns that he's sexist, part of the War on Women. All he's done is prove her concerns right.
And Trump had a point about Megyn Kelly being biased too. Watching her show tonight she has had like four different people in a row attacking Trump negatively.
What's that gotta do with her? She just read a teleprompter
Her question was how you're going to implement your revolution with an uncooperative Congress. Calling for more change doesn't answer that question.
I took it as him saying we need to vote out everyone who doesn't really align with campaign finance reform and the couple of policy things he mentioned.
Her question was how you're going to implement your revolution with an uncooperative Congress. Calling for more change doesn't answer that question.
But his answer wasn't just about change. His answer was literally that he wants to start the building blocks for a more vocal public.
Congress can be uncooperative all it wants but if they see their choices are breeding the kind of dissent they can't ignore among the public, they will have to see change through or they will find themselves somewhat on the outs. Also, he mentioned that he was willing to compromise to a certain level with Republicans.
My issue with Bernie discussing compromise with the Republicans is that compromising with his policies would conventionally bring about policies about where Hillary wants them. She doesn't want to just compromise but has stated she wants to work across party lines to get passed what she actually proposes.
I mean, look, we all know that short of an actual political revolution, many of his ideas will not come to pass and will turn into the Dems passing the ideas Hillary wants.
The EVIDENCE and VOTING RECORD disagree with you Bernie. Exaggerating that single Iraq war vote doesn't work. Going on about Wall Street doesn't work. At the end of the day, he's bringing up exceptions to the rule (that rule being Hillary as a moderate progressive). The overall trend disagrees with him.
Either way, whatever. I'm voting for the more moderate candidate because I align with her on the issues and that's fine.
This "you're a progressive!" and "you're a moderate!" **** as an attack line from supporters is messy as hell - at least Bernie makes it clear that it's just a difference on issues.
