Lol. Kanto and Hoenn have the most megas for a reason. They're applying to the most popular gens, which is why Unova only has Audino. I definitely think Johto will have a lot of focus in Z; similar to how RSE focused on Hoenn, FRLG on Kanto and Colloseum on Johto in the past.

Also why 26? You do realise it wasn't 26 in each game and that ORAS had significantly less than XY? Z will probably have around the 18-20 mark again. In which case I'd say this:

Kanto - 3 (Butterfree, Lapras, Tauros)
Johto - 5 (Crobat, Kingdra, Donphan, Bellossom, Miltank)
Hoenn - 1 (Flygon)
Sinnoh - 5 (Luxray, Floatzel, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Weavile)
Unova - 2 (Chandelure, Zoroark)
Kalos - 7 (Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, Gogoat, Noivern, Xerneas, Yveltal)

This is my predictions rather than what I want. I'd rather Vileplume have than Bellossom. I would put M-Milotic in there, but I think they'll troll us and just give us Flygon. Johto starters and legendaries are excluded because I don't think we'll get from both Johto and Kalos, and it's pretty clear the reason Kalos didn't have megas in XY were so that we'd get megas in Z.

I would love that. BUT, where would Ho Oh be placed? It would be v awkward to have Lugia and not Ho-Oh.

Also my biggest concern with Z is what they're going to do with the dex. I stand by saying the XY dex, while great at first, was far too big. Are they going to completely redesign it? Are they going to make it bigger?

i'd be pretty shocked if they made it any smaller. i don't think they've ever done that before (at least, not with a remake within the same generation as the original). i kinda appreciate the variety of choices in XY actually, i think it keeps the game fresh.

Thoughts on Pokemon solar and Luna?

These should be getting Megas in Z since they were featured in the war backstory. There are a few other Pokes featured in it that already have Megas

This is super random but was it ever explained why ash seen Ho-oh on the very first episode? Like why'd they decide to make it a gen 2 pkm.

Originally gen 1 had like 100 more Pokemon. But they cut them and Ho-Oh was probably one of them.
