2) Wrong singles:
MEH. That's what, whoever chose the strategy to use her abuse to sell the album, gets. If they weren't trying to use that, there'd be no "RR" as first single and no interview.
3) "Sucess doesn't matter", "As long as it's a good album"
This one is old. Success/commercial performance DOES matter. You do want the bitch to keep making music, no?
That's all.

WIAT YOUR TURN is one of teh worst song ever and i've even said it here and on several other forums
that video for WYT is one lame weak lazy DULL video
that is why nobody cares.
And Russian Roulette is good but the video came too late... and she's not good ennough as a vocalist to impress people with a ballad...
plus her hair is a mess.
so YES , SHE RELEASE THE WRONG SINGLES.
if she came with "cold case love" or "te amo" or "rude boy" that would have been so much better.
no one is ready nor cares about her ROCK attitude.
Unfortunately this is a bad start for her album...
it's too bad because she is so much more interesting that copycat beyonka.
but it's lady GaGa's arrival on the scene that put everyone else in perspective and brings everyone else down.
Lady GaGa plays piano, sings live, dances, makes amazing and unexpected live shows and performances, is NOT BORING, has something new to offer to the game, is unexpected and is CRAZY and she's a "free bitch baby".
It's going to be VERY HARD for any other artist, established or not, to come up with something interesting enough.

"Te Amo" is an amazing song (the best from Rated R, IMO}, but it would not work as a single.

"Don't Stop the Music" helped her before her re-release, I think that kept the album on track. "Breakin Dishes" would've helped over "Rehab", but that wasn't my decision to make.
I love Rated R to death, and just because it may flop doesn't mean the quality is bad. Just take a good listen. I love Fire Bomb, Cold Case Love, & The Last Song. The ballads are as strong as the uptempos: Rockstar 101, Hard, Rude Boy. Mad House, if it was a full length, would've been a hit, I know it.

I like the album, but I can't stand these songs:
Hard
Stupid In Love
Rockstar 101
G4L

180-200k is a step up from her last albums debut week. But the 'step up' should have been much bigger given how big of a star GGGB made her.
Regardless, very positive reviews + hopefully a smash second single will salvage the album. But, that's a long shot by the looks of it.

Personally, I thine they were to cocky about this album release, even when Rihanna has alreasy proven that she's not that much of an albums artists.

highly doubt this will flop theres alot of hype and promotion and these stupid estimates are usually always wrong cause THE BLACK EYED PEAS WERE ESTIMATED TO BE 100,000 something and actually SOLD 300,000

If she wasn't Rihanna, the album would be a total fail.

the album is great speaking musically, but rusian roulette is not strong enough .. the ballads do not sell now at this moment, when everybody is doin' songs like "bad romance" "did it again" "3" etc...

This. It can't be a "flop" if she's getting her best first week with a failed first single...if she had another "Umbrella" and debuted with these numbers then that would be bad but at the end of the day, it's not as if her sales are getting worse than they were. Even her "Reloaded" re-release only sold about 30k the first week.
This first week means nothing to the album's performance, it all depends on the future singles.

^ That's why Rude Boy & Fire Bomb need to be singles, and hopefully Te Amo.
