He's a Hard Rock/Nu Metal singer, and toward the end of the song that comes out. However, his vocal range is amazing. I do wish he could've been a little more subdued at the end too, but this was the first song Draiman ever recorded stoned. That's probably why his vocals on much of the song are quite calm. If you heard Disturbed's Inside The Fire and compared that to TSOS, you would hear how much his range has improved, and you wouldn't even realize it's the same band.
EDIT: I love the song the way it is. Perhaps the label could issue a version where the vocals at the very end are toned down a bit for Mainstream Radio, simply through remixing his voice. Disturbed's first song, Down With The Sickness, came out in 1999, so the band has a long history of huge Active Rock success. But, as I said before, they've never released a ballad like this. And Mainstream Radio shouldn't let this song pass them by.
