I also think Run the World would have slayed had it been released a few years later.

Disturbed's "The Sound Of Silence" is up to #63 on Pop Bars and is still Dark Green! This is HUGE news for Active Rock/Nu Metal, since the download has been available for weeks!

 61. Run The World (Girls)
63. Drink You Away

These prove that talent will always win and prevail, one way or another.

Isn't RTW 2x Platinum now? At the end, it didn't really flopped. It's also huge in streaming. Many pop hits from 2011/2012 aren't 2x Platinum

Just listened to this. It's not what I was expecting. Is this "metal ballad"?

This was Simon & Garfunkel's breakthrough song in 1965. Disturbed usually does one cover on each album, but it's always been "rocked up" in the past. This is Disturbed's first " power ballad," the term used to describe ballads by Hard Rock/Metal Bands. TSOS is getting Disturbed the most attention it's received since releasing "Inside The Fire," which was not crossover friendly but was #1 at Active Rock Radio for 15 weeks, back in 2008. ITF went Gold, which is big for Active Rock.

If you look at the updates TSOS is gaining momentum! It was just above 80 last night, and was not in the Top 100 for several days. Even when it was hovering in the 150s that was amazing longevity for a song from this format. I really hope Mainstream radio will take a chance on TSOS, because Active Rock badly needs a boost right now.

LY soon gonna have a 50% increase on iTunes at this rate. He's already probably like at 30% combined. IMO this is the true smash on the album. Imagine if it was the lead single or even the second single
But being the Dark Horse third single is satisfying enough
