I sound
dumb?

What sophisticated language. My post is very well articulated.ESOM hasn't been number one on the digital chart for a while. In case you haven't noticed, ESOM didn't go number one this week because of its DOWNLOADS, it went number one because of radio play. And, no, it is silly to include airplay. Because radio could overplay a top 20 song, forcing it to the top 10. But, it didn't go to top 10 because people like it enough to download it to the top 10, it was radioed to the top 10. There's a difference.
And you point about "people not downloading songs" doesn't even make sense. Billboard is supposed to reflect CONSUMER trends in the music industry to measure
COMMERCIAL success, not illegal success.

But, you're correct, in that ESOM has some legitimacy since it went #1 digitally a while back. But, it should've been number one back then, and not now.
Plenty of countries don't include radio play in their charts, and they all seem
right to me.
Also, I'm sorry if that post is offensive, but I'm just trying to defend what I've written. I'm not purposefully trying to ridicule you. I've already said that I'm happy for Alicia and Jay-Z, so I'm not hating!
