They could have saved the budget and costumes from Video Phone (heck even the minimal budgets from Broken Hearted Girl and Ego as well) and thrown them in towards the Sweet Dreams video.
If Beyoncé allowed us, and our personal feelings regarding several people in the industry, determine how to make her business moves, she would be making little-to-none. It is not below her to take a day of her time (not even a full twenty-four hours) to make an appearance on Lip Sync Battle It's all in fun and entertainment. Plus, people would be able to see a more humorous side of her, while still being able to showcase some of the performer in her.
I love the idea of Beyonce showing her fun side to the world but it's just that Lip Sync Battle irks me as a show. It always feels tacky and try-hard or something to me (Chrissy doesn't help either ) I'd rather see her taking part in skits on Ellen, Jimmy Fallon or even that car thing with James Cordon.
That being said, anywhere we get to see more of the care free Beyonce is good I suppose.
All the talk of the 'fun lighthearted-hearted' Beyonce reminds me of this gem. Beyonce has an infectious personality when she's confident enough to show it.

I don't mind her on Lip Sync battle, it will be nice to see her on camera again, it's been a while.
Though I agree, it would be great to see her on Ellen or on Jimmy Fallon playing Wheel of Musical Impressions or Catchphrase.
Ideally I'd love to see her interviewed by Graham Norton again (she was in his show back in 2003) but now he'll ask her some decent questions and a bit of mindless ones. He a seasoned interviewer and seems like the type of host to put her at ease and she won't have to worry about him asking questions that are too personal or too out there.
I loved these interviews back in the Sasha Fierce era...
Heck, I enjoy the Sweet Dreams mv more than Telephone
But the Telephone video was such an event (or that's how I remember it, at least). I stayed up until midnight to see it, and I remember being dragged across every wall in my room by my wig

I love the Sweet Dreams video too, though.
I'm probably biased since at the time I was stanning for Gaga slightly more than Bey. But honestly the video was everything to my 16 year old self.
Also OMG @ the fact that Floyd is R&B King. I couldn't figure out who tf he was and then I started wondering what happened to R&B King then I put it together.
