I feel like christmas freeze will hurt Justin Bieber the most. Sorry isn't christmas friendly, Hello is at least a little calmer

I can't see Sorry getting to 200 million on AI, and I feel fairly certain Hello will remain well above that level for a while. Sorry is up to #5 on I-Tunes, but it hasn't exactly roared to that level. Hello also narrowed Beiber's lead on Spotify, but of course this could change on tomorrow's report.

Maybe on Christmas but it's perfect for "New Year", songs like "Party Rock Anthem", "Timber" and "Sexy And I Know It" got huge boosts for those weeks. Party songs actually get a really good boost. Not the same thing happening with ballads (see TOL last Christmas)

Yeah with the stupid 25/52 rule Uptown Funk would've easily reached 60 weeks on the Hot 100. He had the sales and airplay boosts just a couple of weeks away when the song became a superrecurrent. Superrecurrent is the term I'm applying to songs forced into recurrency by the new 25/52 rule, as there should be some distinction between the two categories of Recurrents (much different than going into recurrency due to the 50/20 rule, which of course should still be changed to 50/26).

I don't really see Sorry as a party song either though. It's about remorse, while the three songs you mentioned above are indeed party anthems. Sorry is stuck between Hello and the three mentioned songs -- not quite a ballad, but not really that happy of a song lyrically. I haven't heard Love Yourself though, so maybe that's the Beiber song that goes onto benefitting from the freeze. The title at least sounds more upbeat.
