Exactly. He was advancing towards them with a deadly weapon. They fired, only four to six times (relatively less amount in comparison to most officer involved shootings), to stop him from causing them harm. Which is what they are trained to do. It's horrible that he died, but that's what happens when you're dealing with weapons and police. They aren't trained to disable. They are trained to kill. Twice in the chest, one in the head.
