NBC/WSJ poll has Cruz 5% behind Trump (up 12% from the same poll a month ago). The RNC must be having a meltdown because they can't stand him

Ted Cruz was born in Canada, and a sizable faction of the GOP base in 2008 called for Obama's birth certificate because they thought he was born in Kenya. So the cartoon is criticizing them for not making an issue out of Cruz's birthright citizenship.

NBC/WSJ poll has Clinton up 10 points over Trump in a general election.

Monmouth also has Trump leading the GOP with 41% of the vote. Next closest is Cruz with 14%

This is one instance where the RNC won't mind Trump going "all in" on a particular candidate...the RNC hates Cruz more than they do Trump.

I think the RNC knows that either Trump or Cruz is going to win Iowa...but the past few election cycles the winner of the Iowa caucus has not gotten the nomination. Chris Christie is on the way up in New Hampshire, and putting the time in like McCain did in 2008. New Hampshire has been a better indicative of who the nominee will be, as that state has more moderate voters than Iowa.

The Republican candidate this time around is probably going to get the lowest % of black votes, possibly ever.
Thinking like 2 or 3% at most.

You can't put the actions of some crazy supporters on all the candidates. They didn't have anything to do with that.
