I never understood this rationale. It reminds me of when people say it's not shade if it's true.
the purpose of shade is to say something with shady/not so good intent whether it's true or false.
A read is moreso based on fact but even then it doesn't have to be factual just delivered correctly.
I feel as though Erykah was just aiming for something she knows the audience would get a kii off of which by the way is the soul train music award show...i need not say more on that
