1 - the campaign is at least SOMETHING. Imo - it is great, a good way to entertain whoever is interested in her and to create some hype. I see you all are experts in communication and marketing so i'm sure you can show me statistics and graphics explaining HOW something like this campaign could be damaging.

The general GP listener goes to her spotify page and scroll thru her discography to find the album in which We Found Love and Diamonds are - cause she's always been here! For 8 years she ALWAYS had a song out! No one is interested about her last album being out in 2012! They'll be here for the music!

We never knew. We can guess it's coming real soon because of the Samsung campaign but retailers put up products for preorders and estimate dates every time and most of them end up being false, orientative at best. Until there is an official confirmation from Rihanna, Roc Nation or Samsung, we won't know for sure. I'm not against this thread being left opened (my opinion is that when an album/single release is inminent or evident, the thread should be left opened) but this situation is not any different than when Tinashe announced her single and everyone but her was giving a release date for it. But those threads were closed by a certain standard and this thread remains open.

Anyway, I think it's better to left this open to discuss the album (even if it ends up releasing next year) and the diary campaign. I'm not here for 40 album threads being opened when it surprise releases just because everyone wants to have the OP.
