The album cover has been my favorite cover from her and if this album slays which I am certain it will. I will officially stan for her after all these years of having all 7 albums even.
It's common knowledge in the industry that Def Jam, Epic, and RCA have gone down the drain, so she was right to leave Def Jam, but she deserves a real label like Columbia, Republic, or even Capitol. Roc Nation is a distributor, Tidal flopped, and Kanye West's taste has been in the gutter post-Graduation.
It'll be a miracle if there's anything on this that's salvageable. Steve Bartels is the worst and he's a first class asshole for passing her onto to Kanye before she left Def Jam. She could've made a more progressive, critically acclaimed, commercial, and timely album in a year or two with anyone else. Hopefully she's learned her lesson.
It's great that she'll probably get a small cut of HOV and Yeezy's $25 million from Samsung, but the rollout is going to be a disaster. She needs a better business manager for endorsements that could've made her just as much and given her the opportunity to launch at Apple and Target.
