People literally just associate safari, wildlife, hunger etc with Africa. That's the only thing Western media focuses on anyway.

It is the western perception of Africa. Wilderness, starving children, pyramids, and shanty towns.

I would die happy if I lived like that.

Aside from the media, I think America has a skewed perception of Africa since we have a lot of Evangelicals that target some of the more modest areas/countries that don't have a lot to fuel their religion.

Jolie would fit the part but I can't help but picture the project just becoming another vanity project like the original sixties movie. Angelina really kind of is the Elizabeth Taylor of our generation though - all of constant celebria, the cultural relevance, the passionate and selfless activism, the multiple marriages.

Except Jolie has yet to give a performance as good as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. We must wait and see.
