How can she do that without promo, without the video?
If digital sale counted on Billboard earlier, Britney would have 5 more #1 at least.
Crazy,Opps,Slave,Me against the music, Toxic, My prerogative.

I think her producers deserves all the glory... she can't even deliver what it's the least expected from her... the VOICE!
She used to have the dancing and the looks....... she got her looks back (at least 80% of it) but her dancing will never be the same again...
I like Britney's songs but I think she's only this "legendary" because of her controversies... not her talent!
"3" is a good song though... great job Max Martin!

^ I love 3, but he has a point. We all know that Britney has a great voice. Wish she could show it off more often, 3 certainly does not utilise her singing ability, unfortunately.

No, he has no point. Britney's voice, whether she's using her vocal talent to it's fullest or not, fits well with the mood of her music. No other dance/pop artist is out there doing runs and singing whistle notes against synthy electronic music. It doesn't work. It's funny how Britney always gets called out for something EVERYONE ELSE is doing.

3 actually displays her vocals pretty well, especially during the verses and hook ("Areeee you in? Living in sin is the new thing" is all Britney). And even so, nearly all the top songs right now are high in production. Sit down please.

I'm certainly NOT calling her out.
And of course using her voice on 3 wouldn't work, but it's too bad that as of recent most of Britney's single tracks haven't shown off her voice (Gimme More, Womanizer). And yes, music trends are certainly to blame for that. But a hot Brit track that really uses her instrument would be awesome. Maybe on the next album.

God, what a terrible number one. Britney has had tons of deserving number one singles. This is NOT it.
Oops!..., Slave, Toxic, Lucky, Crazy, Everytime >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3
At least "3" didn't outsell "Womanizer." I would've been pissed if that happened.

Why everyytime Britney releases soomething everyboody starts saying that ALL her other singles but the CURRENT are deserving of its success? It's quite laughable and desperate.

Not as much as you'd think.
Womanizer pulled in roughly $277,200, while # pulled in roughly $322,500. However, subtract all your money that goes to Uncle Sam, Apple, the producers, the mixers, the writers, the arrangers, the recording studio, etc etc etc, and you're not left with much. A few pennies or nickels might separate them for the record company and Spears.

Those are the everyday haters, but I'm being serious. "Womanizer" deserved it's success, and I'm not denying it, and "Circus" deserved its success, too, but I really wish "3" would flop. It's TERRIBLE compared to her previous work, IMO.

I agree.... but what does that have to do with "3"? It's a hot dance track and it does what it set out to do. If you want to hear her natural vocals just listen to the non-singles on Circus. I'm not understanding the problem here.

That's funny because I remember everyone saying the same thing when "Womanizer" came out. "'Toxic' and 'Gimme More' were way better! This doesn't deserve to be #1!!"

There were no digital sales back in the "Oops" era. "Toxic" most certainly would have hit #1, and "Everytime" would have hit top 10, so it wouldn't have changed things that much.
