I believe it plays an important factor in the admissions process. Ultimately depends on the school in question and the logistics of the scholarship, though.

Luckily my state has wicked-low tuition and I managed a very nice academic scholarship. This school is not getting a PENNY from me (which will help because I'll end up with well over 200k in debt by the time I enter my profession ).

See, this is why dating is so hard. I want a guy that can buy me things and support me, too, but 9/10 of them come with a giant mortgage payment except no house. And they have degrees in things like "Business Management" or "Graphical Design" Like, it should be illegal to give more debt to degrees for careers like that than can be paid back
