A fake legend is one that puts out a gimmick and only goes 2x platinum when others outsell her and/or sell close to her by having legit #1 WW hits.

At people expecting this same gimmick to win over a true artist that plays more than 10 instrument, writes and produces his material and doesn't have 16+ songwriters to craft their material.
