Lots of garbage sells. Classics are good music that people know. Stuff like SIO and Roar will not be remembered because they're pop culture filler. Like, they're not anchored down by any notable anything so they'll be forgotten.
Meanwhile smaller "hits" like Back to Black & Paparazzi will be considered the classics.

Literally everyone knows Rolling In The Deep. It was one of the biggest hits of all time and was completely different from everything playing on the radio at the time. It dominated all the stations that actually respect recurrent hits and it's still being played all the time on those stations. I doubt it's going to disappear. It obviously has a classic feel.

But "Back to Black" is respected by serious music critics and connoiseurs to a degree "Rolling in the Deep" isn't.

Rolling In The Deep is higher on Pazz & Jop and the year-end, decade, and all-time lists on AM.
