This is literally a lie though. Madonna at the time (2005-2010 period) was not engaging in any "antics". Her most controversial moments were the adoption (not an antic by any means) and the cross in Confessions (religious imagery- which she has always done and Gaga failed epically at). Other than that she had a pretty straightforward pop star image. "Celebration" is the first single she released after Gaga blew up and it was an international hit, her last song to make the MediaTraffic Top 40 year-end list, and that's a generic party song. No antics involved anywhere.

I remember when she came out to the stage at the 2010 Vma's to hand Godga's the vma for video of the year , and everyone was in awe and starstruck. She was missed and respected.
