ugh Netflix has NOTHING good.

The best thing I've seen is ****ing Circles and it wasn't even a horror. It was a thriller-esque thing.

Who cares, it uses elements of ghost stories and so can be discussed here. It's a masterpiece and should be watched by the people who come into this thread.

I watched the Badadook and only the first 40 minutes of We Are Still Here. The Badadook was cute, I liked it, the ending felt a mess even considering what the monster really was. But We Are Still Here was BORING, I'll watch the rest tonight but it's serving me Little House In The Prairie ft. poor costumed demons.

Changes

I watched Let Us Prey on Netflix last night. It was alright. The story was a bit confusing, but the creepiness and killings made up for it. when the head police guy came back with barbed wire all over his bloody body and a shotgun, I busted out laughing. Dude was serious about killing each and every one of them.

Black Christmas (1974) was the creepiest slasher movie I've ever seen. The phone calls were terrifying, I loved the mystery behind Billy and the POV shots. The scene where he was behind the door...

The only part I wasn't a fan of was the ending but still what a brilliant horror movie. Definitely become one of my favorites.

Unfortunately you stopped We Are Still Here at just the wrong spot. It is a slow burner but picks up in the second half. And I hope you're recognizing the purposeful cheesiness of certain scenes.

I honestly don't know, its so hard to make a Top 5 when there are so many different kinds of horror movies and I've seen so many of them

Although my absolute favorite of all time is probably A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984)

The standouts for me in the last 15 years are: Insidious, The Descent, The Hills Have Eyes, Haute Tension, The Conjuring, You're Next, The Cabin in The Woods, Drag Me to Hell, etc. just a few examples.
