Well both had the same type of career.
1. Random high that no one expected (I don't think anyone thought she would become THAT big last year with hit after hit just like no one thought Iggy would actually blow up)
2. Harsh backlash (Honestly, people from America might not realize just how much that ****ed her up here. Literally NONE of my friends like Ariana.

Obviously that can't count for everyone in America but it did turn off a lot of casual fans or people neutral to her. We all know Iggy's situation

and we all know how effective media can be at making people hate things

)
3. Rehash that does NOT help their current bad situation. Ariana could have still slayed and put the negative backlash to rest if she just released an actually good song that didn't sound like it belonged on her last album. Instead she releases a cheap version of problem just like Iggy released a cheap version of Fancy (still liked Beg For It tho). And people on here think her video was "OMG SLAY!" But I have not seen a single positive reaction to that song or video in real life. She literally looks orange and that hair color doesn't work for her.
Just because she had a big era does not guarantee her infinite success. She has to EARN it like all the other pop stars did. She can't put out **** material this early into her career or she will never get above Demi and Selena. This whole ordeal kind of proved she isn't a main pop girl to me.
