If you put all the songs on Music (besides DTM and the title track) on ROL, they would not sound out-of-place. The albums are released so closely together that the eras just blend in, as well as the sound.

No wonder the tour was for ROL/Music era combined.

music is mad's second best album whereas american life is among her worst (it's worse than hard candy)

It was released in october 1992 and certified double platinum in december 1992 and hasn't been upgraded since.

That's why Janet shaded her with the shipment read because they shipped out alot but rumor has it some got shipped back.

Even with her other underperforming for 90s standards albums bedtime stories and something to remember eventually went 3x platinum.

This was however after Ray of Light changed the game and then people started buying her underperforming albums...even then they still didn't buy Erotica.
