lol, I've told you several times I stopped watching "The affair" -- I stopped around ep. 5 of season one. It took too long to get to the details of the murder, found the pacing too tedious for my liking and didn't care for the characters. The writing and acting was pretty strong, though. I'll give the show that much.

Yes but this season is so slow. I don't get the MC score. Last season hit the ground running (there was a feature's worth of action and plot twists in the pilot alone) and never slowed down. I'm thinking of dumping it for The Affair.

Selena v Demi is so uninteresting. They both under-performed & won't be considered "major" for a while.

More of a prequel. Season 1 is more like the original movie but season 2 (with an entire new cast) takes on a story of its own.
