yaaaaaas!!!!

The Babadook exceeded my expectations. Some genuinely creepy moments, especially the scenes with the book. The acting from the lead was also one of the best I've seen in horror.

I stumbled across that one on accident and was floored. One of the best horror movies I've seen in the last few years.

I am too. Gonna go see it on my birthday.

Yesssss! It's just so cool that they're even using him as inspiration.

I don't think I've ever been so emotionally invested in a horror film since The Descent or Babadook, I'm gonna see Final Girls again if I can.

The Final Girls was everything I hoped it would be. Didn't disappoint.


also, have yall seen Zombeavers? I thought it was gonna be a mess, but it was a surprisingly fun film. I looooved how the sl*tty friend ended up being the final girl.

Let me know how it was I have always wondered how it is but have never watched it.

Just got finished viewing "The Green Inferno". Terrible film in every aspect. Wasn't expecting much of anything, so, I can't say I was let down as my expectations were already low. Did you guys enjoy it?

Looking forward to "The final girls" tomor.

I watched It Follows last week, and I loved it. I couldn't stop thinking about the film after I had seen it.

I've been in the mood to watch more horror films lately, but I can't find anything appealing.

I actually quite enjoyed The Green Inferno. It made me turn away one time (I normally don't do that). Wouldn't call it a good film particularly, but it's enjoyable.

The Visit was great! I laughed so much with the little guy And it delivers some cool thrills. I highly recommend it.

The beginning served terrible college film realness with bad acting, bad writing and just bad filming.

When they get to the jungle scenes it gets better. I also had no real expectations for it, so it wasn't disappointing nor was it was it great.

Just saw this, and I'm honestly not surprised. This movie is never going to happen. Originally suppose to be released in 2010 and has been constantly delayed ever since.



Anyways, time to continue my Halloween marathon.

I saw the new Paranormal Activity.
What a mess.

If you can recall, Wyatt/Hunter is adopted in PA4. The directors said they would further go into why/how he was adopted later (obviously they did not lol) but overall fan theory was Katie put him up for adoption until he was old enough for his purpose in the ritual. Possible so she could avoid capture while caring for him through infant/toddler years. The directors also said Robbie (the other child with Katie in PA4) acts as a messenger for the coven and lures when necessary. So he was basically a gateway for Katie to grab hold of Hunter again, as Robbie could befriend and grow close with him.

The Marked Ones actually opened the concept up further. It was connected way more than just the ending, if you really watched the film. Jesse/Oscar being examples of other marked first borns (showing this isn't just randomly happening to Katie's family). Ana and Lois (grandma from PA3) photoed together, both witches. Showing the coven is much larger than audiences might have believed. And so much more stuff if you'd watch it again.

TMO answered a lot of questions people had about PA3 and the revelation of the ending/coven. But even with all the eggs and connections, it's still just seen as a spinoff and almost standalone. However, it is also important to the grand scheme.

PA4 would actually be the pointless one to me. It brought nothing new to the story. No one really needed to know where Hunter was because we learned about the first born male role in PA2/PA3.

Bloody Mary = a witch grabbing you after saying it so many times in a mirror. The series deals with a witch coven so yeah, that's simple to understand. The kids doing it could be seen as a summoning of sorts, and things start getting more aggressive after it happens in PA3 and the new one.

Just finished The Final Girls and I LOVED IT! It was so solid, every aspect was good. I loved the humor and I actually cried two times lmao. The acting was surprisingly good, I loved the camerawork and soundtrack, it just flowed so well. Loved the ending as well.

I definitely recommend it if you love metahorror like The Cabin in the Woods, I mean this movie couldn't be more meta.

I watched tales of Halloween last night, what a mess. Don't waste your time.
