The Final Girls was okay. Definitely WAY WAY better than the awful Cabin In The Woods.
To me though, it kind of became what it was parodying. Don't get me wrong, it was a brilliantly put together movie (especially with the voiceovers, credits, slow-mo, and title screens), but the second half didn't live up to the first half. The first half seemed to suggest that it was going to toy with the 80s slasher concept and turn it upside down, but it... just didn't. It definitely devolved as it went along.
Also... Taissa is so horrible. I don't understand how she keeps booking roles. She cannot act. And she's a mousy, boring, basic bitch. The fact that
Alexander Ludwig is chasing after her the whole time is laughable.
. I think I would have enjoyed the movie more, despite its faults, had they had a different "final girl."
I LOVED the fact that they used real emotion in the storyline and it was actually moving and not sappy. Ugh I can not wait to see it again 
I spent more time laughing than feeling tense but the movie felt pretty self aware, I mean... it would be embarrassing if not. Our theater had a pretty great crowd which made it fun. The whole "ghost dimension" camera thing didn't feel as lame as I expected but I think everyone here knows what kind of quality to expect from the PA films. It was a decent way to wrap up the series I guess but you can tell by how convoluted everything was that they were just happy to finally wrap the **** up. 
it was SO uncomfortable, he sounded like a damn pedophile and then it got to that incredibly awkward silence when the daughter bit him, and then it cut to him packing his bags 
also our theater was SCREAMING when the dad was going to bring the brother back and the dad basically said bitch bye to his wife 
one of the craziest/goriest movies I've seen, not as intense as Frontier(s) but it was more suspensful and had better cinematography. French horror its power
