Hello everyone, it was great to read all of your selections. Like some of you who are new to this, this is my first time doing something too. Hopefully my outside viewpoint can add something to the polling and I hope you all will enjoy my time here - I know I will be enjoying my time here. I'm glad you all met the criteria, otherwise I'd given you less than a five.
So is this trying to be an artistic competition a la Bjork, Lana, Florence, Lykke Li, etc. because I don't know if stuff like that can go platinum like the name of this name suggests?
Are we looking for bubblegum pop masterpieces that can actually go platinum or sultry, slow certified rust songs?
This.
I'll go ahead and play along for the second round, but I know I'm going to be eliminated, because I don't really do the "artistic" stuff. I write pop songs that I believe could actually sell 1 million copies.
That was a mistake boo boo, I did early reviews and went back to finish up and I accidentally forgot to add that to yours. Don't worry. You know you did good.
Oh, and this is the one challenge I will not comment on someone saying (chorus), but people HAVE made songs, even without just saying (chorus), that were 140 words or less, and they worked AMAZINGLY. I'm pretty sure the Twitter challenge is what spawned one of my favorite PH songs ever, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys can do!
52. Twilight (Interlude)
Only minor thing is the line “it’s getting faded” where I think it would sound better as something like “it’s fading”.
I saw this comment yesterday, and meant to respond earlier. I originally had "it's fading" as the lyric, actually, but I changed it to "it's getting faded" to complement the underlying drug/hallucinogenic motif of the song.
