Lol as if it's any competition.
PCD all the way. They were the global ones for a reason.
More and better hits, and there music undoubtedly aged better. Buttons is over 10 years old and still sounds fresh. GA could never.
Yeah the reason is their label didn't want them to go international, and didn't invest money for it.
I'm genuinely shocked by the replies in this thread. Girls Aloud easily obliterate PCD in every single aspect. Their music sounds fresh as **** even today( which is not the case with PCD) and their personalities SHINE through every single song/video/performance( which is not the case with the other 'group' either). Like no competition. How can you even consider PCD a band when it basically consists of Nicole and her back-up singers/dancers.

Their label didn't bother investing because there was no point. There is no way songs like "Biology" or "Wake Me Up" would appeal to many people in North America. It's really cheesy and tacky.

Is this a joke?
PCD's music still sounds fresh, which is why their songs still have strong streaming power. On the other hand, Girls' Aloud's music wasn't even fresh when it was released and the music videos, like "Biology," are just plain embarrassing to watch. And how does Girl Aloud allowing everyone to sing (3/5 could not sing at all) make their songs, music videos or performances better? Their vocals, their songs, their dancing, their costumes... just terrible.

Songs like "Biology" and "Jump" are even cornier today than they were on first listen. Girls Aloud are so overrated on gay pop music sites.
This is embarrassing from the song, costumes, vocals (except Nadine's), "dancing," and posing. It's like watching a low budget Bollywood item number:
