I'm hating all the negativity for Confident on ATRL. Like from the snippets, the only song I don't think I'll be liking is For You. Kingdom Come does sound like Black Widow but that doesn't make it a bad song! Stone Cold is so emotional and delivered so beautifully vocally, same goes for Father. Honestly the hate is making me despise ATRL and I'm only still on it because of PH. The GP loves Demi, ATRL bashes her and I wanna get off this site as soon as this season ends.

They really should be kept separate. Idk why it effects me so much but ATRL is honestly now a toxic environment for anyone that even mildly likes Demi. Then Selena is praised. While I like Revival, bashing Demi and praising Selena just doesn't make any sense to me!

Every artist gets bashed on ATRL. You've just got to learn to associate with the fans of your faves and brush off the hate. Don't take it personal. It's the same with Jessie J and the whole bisexual thing, nobody takes her seriously anymore.

Yeah but at least people recognise Sweet Talker as a great album!! I do love Jessie J. Sure any thread in Celebria drags her, but not in music too! I'm probably a bit uptight tonight but I'm just over it.

I listened to Revival today and I liked the album. I haven't heard any of the Confident snippets but I like Cool For The Summer and Confident.

I liked Revival but to be completely honest, sometimes it feels like she isn't even trying to sing anymore. But the songs themselves lyrically and production-wise are great and my favourites are definitely Rise and Hands to Myself.

Oh on the topic of Revival, Outta My Hands (Loco) is one of the worst mainstream pop songs I have ever heard!!!! But am I gonna bash Selena about it and drag her in every thread possible? No!

That song was a mess. Rise didn't make much of an impression on me but I was a bit distracted while listening to it.

My Top 3 based on one listen would probably be Hands To Myself, Sober and Body Heat.

Confident - I love the edgier feel of this one. It's different from what I'm used to when it comes to Demi. I can see myself listening to Confident quite a bit. I hope the bridge takes the song somewhere else though. The chorus falls a little flat.

Cool For The Summer - Cute

Old Ways - Typical breakdown but sounds interesting. I can see this being a track on Stars Dance I'm liking the darker, mysterious sound she's experimenting with this album. The pre-chorus >>

For You - I feel like this one would work better if it were "less produced". The chorus sounds muffled. Verses are ON POINT though Good lyrics.

Stone Cold - Xtina teas (in a good way). This song would slay when you're in the mood for it. It definitely speaks to me. Best set of lyrics, so far! Vocals are stunning. This is what For You tried to be.

Kingdom Come - I like the effect they used here. Slightly hollow. It seems like the songs that have weaker choruses usually end up having very solid verses. This is also the case here. Nice build-up, a bit let down by the climax.

Waitin For You - Interesting. I'll have to wait for the full track. Might be one of my favourites. I like the chorus' melody, the Middle Eastern teas. Pre-chorus is Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the lazy verses.

Wildfire - This song will destroy me

Lionheart - I don't like the production, but I like everything else. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Yes - Sounds slightly forced and unauthentic. I LOVE the tempo change. One of the better tracks.

Father - Kill me bitch

Stars - Again, not a fan of the trap breakdown but the drums >>> I love the energy of this song. Catchy enough.

Mr. Hughes - I'm conflicted. At times it sounds like something Amy Winehouse would sing and other times it sounds like something she'd sing and never sing again. I like it, doesn't leave much of an impact though.

Based on the snippets, I'm impressed but expected a little more variation.

I liked it overall! Definitely excited for the full tracks It's something new for Demi which I enjoy.

Julia Michaels is the true it girl of 2015 and nobody even knows who she is. It's not fair.

But I love "Sober" because it marks the first collaboration (I think, anyway) between two of my songwriter faves, Chloe Angelides (in my avi) and Julia. All of my favourite songs on Revival are actually Julia co-writes, I've just found out by looking at the credits.
