I really admire Beyonce for her lack of excuses. She never asks for pity. She takes her L's and move on.

When she was pregnant and performing at Glastonbury, she was throwing up in between her sets and still came back on stage giving the best performance of her life. When she had stomach virus she still performed Listen at the Grammy's like a pro - never acknowledging she was sick.

I remember during the Destiny's Child era, right after Beyonce performed "Lose My Breath" at the NFL Kickoff in September of 2004, she tore her ACL. Kelly connected her to Serena's physician who got in her shape within 6-8 weeks to continue promoting the single. They had to push back the video and all performances which left like a month gap of promo (which I think is the reason the song never went #1.)

But she never mentioned it.. She just worked hard and knocked out the following like the injury never happened just weeks later... Her work ethic is simply phenomenal.
