Well I can't answer how the whole GOP shifted in recent decades, but I can tell you what happened to Arizona: Snow Birds
They register in Arizona, but only live there the weeks before and after the election and once Spring is here they fly away Once upon a time Arizona was a libertarian state where everyone would mind their own business There are elderly flocks already perching here in California, I see their caravans

Texas is such an oxymoron. Our lawmakers our totally conservative, meanwhile teen pregnancy rate is literally one of the highest in the nation, everyone smokes weed, drugs are flowing in from Mexico, we have the one of the highest rates of health issues (diabetes, heart disease), but god bless us we must remain a Christian state.

I wouldn't count out Chris Christie just yet...he speaks in Trumpism's, but has enough political decorum to be seen as presidential. He just has to wait for Trump to finish Bush off.
I could see Christie/Rubio, Christie/Fiorina, Christie/(SC governor)Nikki Haley....any of those would be formidable against Hillary, imo.

I would go with Haley if I was GOP. I think she has the best resume and seems more respected than the others.

Texas also has some of the most diverse cities in the country and booming population, like Houston and Austin. It'll be interesting to see if they'll continue to elect conservative lawmakers in the future.
Using your argument, Colorado and Alaska aren't liberal but are the first states to legalize weed.

These current republican party is such a joke.

Carly thinks global warming exists...and PP needs to be investigated. Sometimes it takes colorful language to get people on board.
As if Democrats don't have their own falsehoods: The "War on Women", All LivesBlack Lives Matter, Wealth Redistribution....just to name a few.

Those aren't falsehoods, moreso controversial ideas/beliefs.
The points I made were not ideas, they were literal facts that Republicans were either denying or making up themselves.

Yeah...she has a fairly good record as governor, handled the murder of Walter Scott by a white police officer, the Charleston church shootings, and Confederate flag issue very well.
Christie is also friends with New Mexico Governor Suzanna Martinez....she'd be another option as well.

I read a report that basically said if Democrats and Hispanics actually voted in Texas, it would be purple if not just straight up blue. Mess.

They are falsehoods...their is no "War on Women", All Lives do in fact Matter, and someone that works hard for their money should not have to give up theirs to prop up someone that doesn't want to work.
Carly did use some political theater, but I find it a agreeable conclusion that as money hungry as those PP doctors looked in those video's that they don't really value the life of the fetuses they are harvesting organs from. Carly got her information from a documentary on the subject of doctors harvesting fetus organs for profits...how those PP doctors were acting in those videos, it is a reasonable assumption that they are doing the same.

Let me make this a bit more clear since you seem to have trouble grasping things. Of course there's no tangible, declared, war on women. It's an idea/belief to describe the current set of policies regarding women certain people think should be in place. The Black Lives Matter activists aren't saying "all lives don't matter", that is completely not the point. And someone believing in wealth redistribution is again, an idea. Those aren't "falsehoods".
Like, what are you talking about? And how come everytime you quote me you make it about Carly? Anytime I say "republicans", that doesn't mean I'm directly referencing her.

War on Women is fake. It's literally just anything that isn't full out pro-choice. That does not equate to any type of attack on women based on gender.

The war on woman is highly overexaggerated, the 77 cents statistic is horribly flawed and of course overused.

They're false ideas though...
The BLM folks sure didn't like it when former Maryland gov Martin O'Malley said "All Lives Matter" when he was addressing the group at a forum. He had to backtrack, and weakly apologize.

Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will soon release a plan to combat "price gouging" in the specialty drug market. We explore how drugs are priced in the U.S., how they compare to other countries and what we can expect from Clinton's plan.
