Not necessarily. "Wake Me Up!" and "Am I Wrong"s sales had far fallen when radio was still hanging on to them, while "Earned It"'s had also fallen, which is good that radio dropped it. Look at Aloe Blacc's "The Man". It had fantastic sales (actually, for most of its run, better than FS's), yet radio dropped it quick and he hasn't had an entry on Pop radio since then, and his follow-ups struggled on Hot AC and Triple A (despite one of them being in the top 100 of iTunes for a few days).

Cool For The Summer may not have under performed by her standards (although it did) but it definitly underperformed for what it was supposed to be which was a huge summer smash and Demi's big return as a pop girl. I think Confident (2nd single) will do better.


How are Confident & Revival doing in preorders and in comparison to DEMI and Stars Dance?

GFY would've probably still done better but CFTS would've had more longevity if it was released around late May, i'm really not sure what they were thinking releasing it so late?

CFTS should've been released in May, releasing it in middle/late Summer was a dumb move. It still performed alright, I wasn't expecting a global smash.

CFTS failed really hard at every market. It was a Max Marting produced pop extravaganza with a lot of promotion, a video, a radio deal and a VMA spot. Not even all of those things could make it a top ten hit. The song was released on the Summer so those ''wrong date'' excuses don't mean anything because the song wouldn't be a hit if it was released a month earlier simply because it didn't click with the general public. It didn't exceed on streaming, airplay or digital sales AND it's showing no signs of longevity. Not a hit.
