I was at the Houston show last night. I got to meet so many nice people in such fun costumes & the TN booth was really neat. The crowds waiting in line would spontaneously burst into song (Taylor obviously). I saw on Twitter before the concert that fans overheard See You Again and I wasn't too happy about it because that song seemed like such a downer but it actually worked really well because the crowd was really into it and Taylor
SANG it.
Right before she came on, it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. You could honestly feel the excitement from the 45,000 people in the stadium and the led lights were awesome. There was also this fun moment before Bad Blood where the crowd started up a "Taylor!" chant.
She really personalizes the show for the city she's in. She started talking about how Houston is special to her because her parents got married there and her mom went to college there and she mentioned the Speak Now tour being sold out in Minute Maid as well.
I got really excited because before Mean started, the guitar strumming she was doing sounded like it was going in the direction of Begin Again lol but I would have loved something like Treacherous. I was glad there were no guests during Style cause I love that song and didn't need interruptions but sad about AYHTDWS being cut. I saw a lot of people who were a little upset because many Loft 89 picks were from the floor area and they seemed pretty random since the people (even on floor and lower areas) with the very time consuming costumes were ignored (like this
girl). Oh, and there were people from Bolivia and Hawaii. That's so crazy to me.
For the end, the fireworks must have hit something (the roof was closed) because as people were exiting, the stadium started to fill up with lots of smoke and the security people started rushing people out and we saw firetrucks but I don't think it was anything too serious. This was a little hilarious to me thanks to Blank Space "so it's gonna be forever or it's gonna go down in flames".
Anyways, it was great!!!!! I'm totally seeing her again for her next tour. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions in here leading up to my concert. <3
