Funny you say that, because I think the production on ARTPOP is its biggest flaw. Aside from DWUW, the production on ARTPOP is messy, run of the mill EDM. I feel as though had Gaga let White Shadow do what he wanted with the tracks by himself that they would have come out better. She made it a big deal that she co-produced the songs, when her contributions to the songs are most likely what brought them down, IMO. At least on PRISM Katy stayed true to what she was good at-writing cute lil pop jams.
The lyrics on ARTPOP aren't necessarily gold either. See Jewels N Drugs for referral.
And Dark Horse is kinda better than anything on ARTPOP.
