anyway, ya there's a lot of white privilege in the gay community, i see some strides being made tho but it's all in very small increments / nothing is ever going to please the people who feel like they've been done wrong for so many years.... i understand the frustration, years of being almost conditioned to believe that u are inferior would be terrible and grating, but the times are changing even if it's only little by little

doesn't have much to do with the gay community specifically, but i really just want all my straight friends to date outside of their race so that the world can be nothing but mixed people. meanwhile, i date whoever is hot, intelligent and a good person. your skin color is the least of my concerns.

I feel no sense of belonging in the gay community

It would be nice to see a variety. Statistically there would be more white LGBT people than blacks but I think there could be a better job done to shake it up. And of course we should add the other races as well.

The problem lies with these magazines and the ones who put this media together.

But where I'm from, there really isn't much of a mix. Like I can only think of one black male in the state's gay group of party people. How do I phrase this right...there are gay guys who are "popular" and they go to the clubs. From down south to up north. They might do adult films but the constant is that they're always at clubs in their underwear and they pretty much know everyone (read everyone is friends with these people on Facebook). There is only one black man in that group.

What's really a shame though is that none of the white guys really want to date a black guy and none of the black guys want to date a black guy.

I don't feel like reading this mess but I will say that we all should know that when it comes to the LGBT community there's minorities within our own minority group that doesn't get the same representation and voice as others.
Within the LGBT community the media still marginalizes blacks, asians, bisexuals, lesbians, minority transgenders, masculines, etc. This isn't new information. But of course some gurls are gonna deny and ignore that.
