this is so pathetic, now you say mp was more succesfull than tyhb just ebcause of the peak. I don't really care u know, a flop is a flop. Both singles flopped and noone will say "but mp peaked at #21 so it was less floppy".

Yes they do, of course they do...not like directly but video play is advertising/song play/attention for the artist.
I don't even get why you so stongly disagree with that...just the very fact it is media attention for the artist and can get radio to increase spins etc if the video is getting a response.
Before the video came out, Simple plans - Welcome to my life wasn't played alot on my station but now people are requesting it more and it's played more because of the video
