I say this all the time. Marlene already said she had 3 people in mind for 3x01 to 3x02. That being Wren, Aria, and probably Ezra or Lucas. But decided Cece after that. Still she had to make everyone look suspicious. That's understandable tho.
The actor who would become A could've died or gotten into it with the network, etc. and it would've ruined the entire show.
