They had to push it back to do a whole new first single and video. Epic is not a good label. Tamar should have had no problems this era considering her last era went decent (for today's R&B standards).

In Epic's defense, the tracks Tamar has been putting out are lacklustre. The lead single was watered down and basic and the second one sounds like a yelled out overdramatic filler track. Yet, both tracks did receive massive airplay. The fact that neither managed to sell or get views is more of Tamar's problem than it is Epic's.
I think we should stop blaming Epic tbh. Sure, they made a mistake by releasing the album so early, but I get why they did that. They were afraid that the rest of the album wasn't going to resonate with anyone inside her core audience and, ultimately, they were right. But other than that, they've been there for her through thick and thin since 2011.
