Unless you're like in Nevada, most people drink straight from the faucet. Although I have a filter attached to my kitchen one so at least the kitchen one is completely safe to drink from. The others in my house I drink from too just no filter

Drinking tap water is safe here in the UK, that's for sure.

Plus, you know there's likely to be more contaminants in your bottled water than from a tap, right? Tap water has much stricter regulations (at least here in the UK), especially given the potential for transfer of chemicals from bottles to the water when they become hot in storage and in transit.

Sis no. New York Water Treatment regulations are so intense its bascially Aquafina at this point. They have to do it because a water comtamination in NYC could kill thousands of people.

My German tab water is flawfree. I could not even afford all the bottled water that I would have to buy, because I drink so much tab water.

some restaurants in the U.S. serve tap water because of the drought.

People only boil water if they come from an undeveloped country where their water needs some serious germ killing process.

Exactly. Most municipal water supplies are strictly regulated.

Corporations health-wash their products to make it seem like bottled water is better for you.

Plus, it takes 1,000 years for a plastic bottle to biodegrade, so if you don't recycle it, your carbon footprint is huge.

you can drink tap water if it's clean enough - like in US, Canada.... in other countries, you do have to boil before drinking.

No it's not. I drink tap water everyday. Certain people choose to buy filters but I have never heard of boiling tap water. I guess that is for extreme cases
