Chandelier was nominated last year for several VMAs, including Video of the Year, and won one, and Elastic Heart is nominated this year, too.

she's been nominated 33 times and won thrice (four times including Live Your Life), two VOTY and 'monster single of the year' they made up just for her.
all I'm saying is credit should be given where its due, Rih has some truly fantastic videos in her catalogue that deserve VMAs.

Well at the very least, she's ranting about the "Best Choreography" category, which is a bit warranted since I can't honestly think of anybody else atm who can pull off a great dance number like she can.

But Nicki whining about Anaconda not getting a VOTY nom when it's already nominated in a different category and was even eligible for a Grammy at one point. Sit the **** down.

I wasn't coming for Kendrick. I'm just saying that her argument has no validity to it when they're nominating a Black rap artist's video that wasn't even a big commercial success for VOTY, and Lord knows that the VMA's are all about commercial success and name recognition above all.

lol "monster single of the year" was definitely not made up for Rihanna, the 2007 VMAs was the year they completely re-did all the categories including some like "Quadruple Threat of the Year". Obviously everyone hated it and they changed it back.
Gaga is the only one that got a category made just for her.
